The Kedarkantha Trek, nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, is one of the most popular treks in India, loved by beginners and seasoned trekkers alike. Known for its stunning landscapes and rewarding summit climb, this trek offers the perfect mix of adventure and natural beauty.
Standing tall at an altitude of 12,500 feet (3,810 meters), Kedarkantha is famous for its 360-degree panoramic views, snow-covered trails, and a summit that feels nothing short of magical. The trek unfolds through dense pine forests, charming villages, and open meadows, making every step a visual delight.
Spanning approximately 20 kilometers over 6 days, the trail remains beginner-friendly even during winter, despite snow-covered paths. Trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking views of majestic peaks such as Swargarohini, Black Peak (Kalanag), and Bandarpunch, creating unforgettable moments throughout the journey.

Highlights: The main day of the trek involves a steep climb to the Kedarkantha Peak (3,810 m / 12,500 ft) for a panoramic 360° sunrise view of Himalayan ranges like Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch. Afterward, descend to the Hargaon campsite.
