Dhumdhar Kandi Pass

Dhumdhar Kandi Pass Trek

The Dhumdhar Kandi Pass, also known as the Smoky Ridge Forest, is a remote and demanding high-altitude trek in Uttarakhand, connecting the sacred regions of Gangotri and Yamunotri. The pass lies at an altitude of 5,490 m (18,012 ft) and was once an ancient route used by locals to access the Tons Valley.

Surrounded by glaciers from Kalanag (Black Peak), Swargarohini, and Bandarpoonch, this trek is the source region of the Bhagirathi and Yamuna rivers, adding immense geographical and spiritual value. Known for its harsh terrain, unpredictable weather, and technical sections, the Dhumdhar Kandi Pass Trek is strictly meant for experienced trekkers seeking an untouched and extreme Himalayan adventure.
