Aancha Top Trek

Aancha Top Trek

Aancha Top Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s hidden gems, located in the serene Yamunotri region of Uttarkashi. Standing at an altitude of approximately 12,500 feet (3,810 meters), this trek offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Garhwal Himalayas. Similar to Kedarkantha, Aancha Top is a peaceful summit trek, but with far fewer crowds, making it an ideal escape for those seeking solitude. This trek can even be undertaken in winter, revealing the untouched, pristine beauty of the Himalayas.

The trail to Aancha Top takes you through dense forests and expansive high-altitude meadows. You’ll begin your journey amidst lush oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, and if you trek in spring, you may witness the spectacular rhodo blooms. Beyond the forests, the path opens up to verdant meadows, which turn into vibrant grazing grounds for local cattle during the summer. These meadows are perfect for camping under the stars, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of this hidden Himalayan paradise.
