Gulabi Kantha lies along the scenic route to Dodital, a beautiful freshwater lake nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of around 12,000 feet, the Gulabi Kantha Trek rewards hikers with breathtaking panoramic views of prominent Himalayan peaks such as Kalindi Sirkala, Bandarpoonch, Chaukhamba, and the Shivalik range. Itinerary
Start from Dehradun, driving through Mussoorie and along the Yamuna River to Ranachatti.
Settle into your guesthouse/homestay and attend a trek briefing.
A short trek (approx. 4 km, 3 hrs) ascending from 7,000 ft to 9,200 ft through forests.
Trek (approx. 4 km, 4 hrs) to Dinnala, an expansive meadow area, reaching about 10,750 ft.
The longest day (approx. 8 km, 7 hrs), ascending to Aancha Top (12,525 ft) for breathtaking 360-degree views, then descending to Aancha Camp (11,400 ft).
Descend (approx. 6 km, 5 hrs) from Aancha Camp back to the base at Ranachatti.
A scenic drive (approx. 160 km, 7 hrs) from Ranachatti back to Dehradun, concluding the trek
