Black peak Expedition
Black peak Expedition
Black Peak (Kalanag) rises to 6,387 m (20,960 ft) in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Himalayas, near the scenic Ruinsara Valley. Named after its cobra-like summit, it is the highest and most prominent peak of the Bandarpunch massif.
The climb is highly technical, featuring steep snow and ice sections, including near 70° slopes and a vertical ice wall, making it suitable only for experienced mountaineers. Located within Govind National Park, the route offers stunning alpine meadows, glaciers, and panoramic views of the Bandarpunch range—an ultimate challenge for serious climbers.
